RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has recently felicitated cabdrivers through the ‘Thank You’ initiative, which forms part & parcel of its corporate incentives & rewards systems.
The initiative signals DTC’s keenness to raise cabbies’ satisfaction with the aim of improving the caliber of services, and enhancing DTC’s profile in the community. The awards were presented at DTC’s main station in the presence of Dr. Yousef Al Ali, CEO of DTC, Ammar Al Braiki, Acting Director of Fleet Operations, and scores of employees.
Nine drivers from three centers have won the quarterly draw, where the first place winner was awarded AED2500, the runner-up got AED1,500 and the third place finisher walked away with AED1,000.
Detailing the initiative, Dr. Al Ali said that raffle draw coupons had been distributed to DTC’s top officials to honor cabbies during internal and external tours, field visits to event sites, customer service centers, and DTC taxis assembly points. “The initiative is based on assessing cabbies on different perspectives including personal cleanliness & general appearance, car cleanliness, delivering lost items, receiving thank-you letters hailing drivers’ performance, and performing any action that serves DTC’s interests. The coupons entitles the cabbies to enter the quarterly draw to win prize money in recognition of their continuous efforts and dedication to serve the public and passengers,” said Al Ali.
“This initiative, which was launched in July 2012 with an annual budget totaling AED 80,000, is intended to encourage drivers to maintain the personal appearance, vehicle cleanliness, and deliver excellent services to customers. It is worth mentioning that the draw for the first quarter of 2016 was conducted in appreciation of the outstanding efforts of cabbies and their contribution to upgrading services on offer to the public in order to raise customers’ happiness rating.
