The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is launching an array of events & programs through the final ceremony on 2 December 2011.

The concept of forming the UAE flag through a bunch of 900 of the best DTC cabdrivers was being materialized through a comprehensive team to look into the implementation of the idea on the second of December.

Forming the flag by 900 volunteer drivers has been well managed such that it won’t have negative repercussions on the operational processes of the DTC in terms of taxicabs availability in various locations.

Each group will carry one of the four colours of the flag before raising the logo of the National Day and the Spirit of the Union with the logo of the DTC.

Then a portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan will be formed while the folklore bands will be in place to enrich the festive atmosphere among others.

The Spirit of the Union logo will be placed on 100 taxicabs of the DTC and gifts will be offered to visitors arriving through Dubai airports.

The events are supported by a host of DTC partners & suppliers.

A 40-cabdriver rally will also be staged within DTC office compounds which will ultimately form the name of the United Arab Emirates abbreviated in English, besides presenting a drama (Taxi Time) contributed by DTC staff and cabbies.
