Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman of Emirates, has hailed the work of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the plans to accommodate the expansion of Dubai International Airport by 2020.
In a recent meeting, Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the board and executive director of the RTA, shared the findings of studies conducted by the RTA to upgrade roads around the airport. The work is necessary to handle the projected increase in the number of passengers using DXB from 60 million passengers in 2012 to 92.5 million in 2020.
Al Tayer highlighted the importance of completing the improvements of Airport Road by 2017 and Al Quds Road by 2020. More info
