“We have also completed integration of the NOL Red Ticket in all stations, so that passengers are able in travelling on all public transportation modes, regardless of where it was purchased,” said the Director of Automatic Fare Collection, Mohammed Al Mudharrab.
The other services to be launched in phases include a dual-chip card known as “Combi Card.” It is a card that has the function of a credit card and the NOL card, enabling travellers to pay for any modes of public transportation.
According to Al Madani, people who receive a 50 per cent discount can apply for the NOL card as of 15 March 2011 through NOL card portal (www.nol.ae) or the Metro stations and public bus stations in Dubai.
