From the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Licensing Agency of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) will offer 3-digit vehicle number plates of Codes such as G, F and K at a discounted and fixed rate of 130 thousand dirham per plate. The offer, which will be valid for a limited period starting from Friday, is made in the context of RTA efforts to attain customers’ satisfaction, besides meeting their aspirations and responding to their views & suggestions.
“This service is offered for the first time to various community segments, particularly the enthusiasts & collectors of distinguished 3-digit numbers; who continuously ask for the allocation of such numbers citing difficulties in obtaining them from the external market, not to mention the prices which might be as high as 150 thousand dirham for each plate. Moreover, prices of triple numbers offered in open or online auctions range from 140 to 170 thousand dirham; which makes this discounted price on offer a great opportunity to fetch a suitable 3-digit number plate,” said Mohammed Abdul Kareem Nimaat, Director of Vehicles Licensing at RTA Licensing Agency.
“Through its dedicated work team, the Vehicles Licensing Dep’t has made its best efforts to provide this service in the context of its attention to offer diversified services to customers to achieve the highest customer satisfaction rating, particularly noting that a large number of deluxe vehicle owners are interested in fitting diverse 3-digit plates for their cars. We have therefore thought of a distinctive initiative to realize their aspirations and opted to offer around 100 three-digit plates from the start of Ramadan and roll on for a month’s time.
“This service is bound to be warmly received by our customers in view of our mutual confidence and as we recognize the depth of their desires to obtain these plates. The move is also inspired by the atmosphere of Ramadan which requires offering easy deals and accessible procedures under a positive competitive format. Accordingly, these numbers can be bought from RTA Customer Service Centers in Dubai, or online through RTA website. The ‘First Come, First Served’ principle will be applied to each number requested, in a transparent and clear manner,” said Nimaat in a concluding remark. More info
