Emirates, the world’s biggest long-haul airline, plans to add 37 new planes to its fleet in the fiscal year beginning April as it expands operations in Asia with new destinations.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the Booking & Dispatch Center for taxicabs had handled 7,257,944 calls during the period from January to October 2015, noting that the number of bookings executed during the same period amounted to 5,060,550 bookings, and taxicabs made 88,029,480 trips.
Dubai received 67.3 million international passengers from February 2013 to February 2014, while Heathrow received 66.9 million, according to Airports Council International (ACI).
Dubai International airport is expected to surpass 70 million passengers this year, 5.4 per cent more than last year, despite 80-day closure of the runways, said a senior Dubai official on Sunday.
