The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) was the first government entity to pledge full support to the emirate’s new branding move by using Dubai’s new logo in mass transit modes – on the Dubai Metro, public buses, taxis, water bus, water taxi and Dubai Ferry — to maximise its exposure and reach.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority RTA, revealed that the number of riders using public transport Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transit modes and taxis in the first half of this year topped 262.569 million riders, compared to about 165,527,687 riders during the same period last year.
