Dubai Police has deployed a squad of undercover officers across the public transport network to ensure security, a top official told XPRESS.

The system is aimed at enhancing road safety since complaints of taxi drivers exceeding speed limits are commonly received by RTA.
The walk between Marina Mall and Marina Walk may take between 20-30 minutes, leading pedestrians over a twisting promenade. During the hot summer months the walk can become a trying experience. A new water bus, running every 15 minutes between the two locations has been currently launched with the total travel time clocked 12 minutes and a fare of Dh2 for a single trip.
In implementation of this principle and discerning vision, the Public Transport Agency has concluded a number of joint cooperation agreements with a host of major hotels in Dubai such as the Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah, where it was agreed that the Hotel would provide a marina for the Water Taxi Station, and promote the services of the Water Taxi and Ferry Dubai, whether in the Hotel or on the dedicated buses of the Hotel.
The Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), called upon schools administrations in the Emirate of Dubai to abide by the provisions of the School Transport Law to ensure the safety and security for students of all age groups in keeping with RTA's vision of providing Safe and Smooth Transport for All.
