TGP was privileged to be part of a historic moment which saw the launch of the Green Line by the RTA, opening on 9 September, 2011 in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The event was the first of its kind for the Dubai Government using sophisticated technological features as a focal point of the event.
TGP was awarded the launch project on 5th July, 2011. Offering an end-to-end solution, the design and production company drew on the expertise of its 5 dynamic divisions to work towards one goal – to deliver a seamless, on-time launch from conception to implementation.
The five divisions of TGP comprise of exhibition solutions, graphics, interiors, live communications and conferences and exhibitions. Each worked together under strong strategic management to make this a memorable event using innovations such as Pixel Mapping and 3D technology. In addition, each station on the Green Line was represented by a legacy piece mapping out the growth of Dubai and the location itself.
Clare Greenwood, Business Development Director of TGP Live Communications, TGP’s leading division for the project, comments: “90% of what we did, we delivered through in-house production and assistance. The project was delivered by TGP Live Communications as a full turnkey event management project, from conceptualization through to delivery. A key factor which strengthened our ability to deliver and to respond to changing requirements was the fact that our other divisions were on hand to support throughout, in particular our production workshops and our graphics division.”
Being part of the Dubai Metro Green Line Launch has been a milestone for TGP on multiple levels. Considered a historic moment in transport history for the region, TGP were incredibly proud to work so closely with the Dubai Government on an event of this magnitude and significance.
