The future of transportation is here in Dubai. Six global teams presented their concept for the Hyperloop system designed to reduce travel time between Dubai and Fujairah to 10 minutes at the ‘Build Earth Live’ competition hosted by Dubai Future Foundation on Tuesday.
Team Mobius from France, Hyper Poland, Team rLoop from US and Canada, BIM Fusion from UK, Hypernova from Cairo University, and Future Architects from Ajman University were the six finalists in the 48-hour competition organised by Build Earth Live to encourage and raise awareness of cloud-based working, international developments in interoperability and public access to the design process.
What is Hyperloop?
Soon to become the fifth mode of transportation, Hyperloop system uses electric propulsion to accelerate a passenger or cargo vehicle through a tube in a low pressure environment.
The autonomous vehicle is slightly elevagted above the track and glides at faster-than-airline speeds over long distances, eliminating direct emissions, noise, delay, weather concerns and pilot error.
It’s the next mode of transportation for people and goods with minimal impact to the environment. More info
