Roads and Transport Authority puts final touches on Green Line stations of Dubai Metro
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board & Executive Director of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that RTA had completed the construction works in most stations on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro, following the full completion of the 23-km long track extending along the Green Line.

Don't misuse bus seats
The reader said: "Every time I commute, I see at least two or three passengers in the bus who think it is acceptable to put their feet up on vacant seats. This is a disgusting habit and they should behave appropriately! Although I have seen cameras in some public buses, I have never seen anyone being fined for this bad habit. Metro feeder routes to begin operating in Internet City
Office workers, nannies, technology staff and bank employees have expressed relief that their long, hot trudge to the office has ended as feeder buses have begun serving the Dubai Internet City Metro stop. Dozens of people who once walked or shared cabs to businesses scattered around the station are now taking buses that run at 20-minute intervals.
Doha metro could move ahead in December
The Red line is the first line and is designed to run from Doha city to the New Doha International airport. Germany’s Deutsche Bahn signed a memorandum of understanding with local Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company to develop the design for the country’s USD25bn railway network in 2009.

Al Tayer briefs Qatari delegation on RTA mass transit experience
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), received a Qatari delegation headed by H.E. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Ibrahim, Member of the Central Municipal Council. The meeting was attended from the Qatar side by Hassan bin Abbas Abdul Rahim, and Hamad bin Salih Al Hawl, and from the RTA attended a host of CEOs and Directors.
Dubai Metro's accessibility put to special needs test
The Dubai Metro's facilities for people with special needs were put to the test on Tuesday with the help of "special" volunteers from all over the UAE. Although most facilities provided to help passengers with special needs were praised by the volunteers, they pointed out some "barriers" which they feel should be removed to ensure a hassle-free journey.
Cityscape Global opens in Dubai
Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, formally opened the Cityscape property exhibition at 10am on Monday. The exhibition, labeled Cityscape Global this year, will showcase property from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, among other places.
