Dubai metro deal for DHL
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a one-year agreement with DHL. The deal will see the express company provide postal services through the post system known as Packstations at Dubai Metro stations.
RTA reorganises feeder services
Acting upon the feedback of its customers and studies by its planning team, RTA has wrung in comprehensive changes to its feeder services just as it is doing with its standard bus networks. The feeder buses which transport people to and from Dubai Metro stations across the city have been the key component behind the success of the metro as it is a free service for train passengers.

RTA will allocate spaces at the Dubai Metro Stations to install DHLs parcels and documents postal system initially at Khalid bin Al Waleed station and Deira City Center station and the service is set to cover other metro stations later on, according to Adnan Al Hamadi, CEO of RTA Rail Agency.

Al Hashemi said that usage of public transport in Dubai has increased from the earlier six per cent to 10 per cent this year after the introduction of an integrated public transport system which includes the Dubai Metro, buses and water transport.

RTA launches new bus route and improves transit time
The Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) revealed that it will launch on July 1st a new bus route in Dubai besides broadening and merging other routes as well.
