Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has announced the opening of the Burj Dubai tomorrow will coincide with the opening of the Burj Dubai Metro station.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that RTA will officially operate Burj Dubai metro station on Monday 04 January 2010 to mark the fourth anniversary of the Accession Day of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as Ruler of Dubai Emirate.

The Metro station at Burj Dubai will begin operation on Monday to coincide with the official opening of the world’s tallest tower, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said.

Staff from the Dubai Metro project recently celebrated working 1 million hours without having a recordable accident, the second such milestone since the project started in 2005.
