Media sector evolves after a period of challenges
RTA's ad contracts (Jan). Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA) made the biggest news announcing some of the biggest advertising contracts that included naming rights of the railway stations and awarding their own advertising campaigns.
Contracts worth $78.2 billion awarded this year
On September 9, 2009 Dubai Metro was inaugurated with 10 stations. Work on the remaining stations are progressing at a brisk pace. The cost of building the Dubai Metro, meanwhile, increased to $7.6bn since the contracts were awarded four years ago.

Authority plans to expand e-services
The RTA has achieved 100 per cent transition to e-services in all the services agreed with the Dubai e-Government, a top official has said.

Over 80% of Dubai Metro retail units leased
The last batch of retail outlets on the Dubai Metro are being offered for lease, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Thursday.
