Dubai Taxi signs MoU with Ayedat Holding (KSA)
The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ayedat Holding (Saudi Arabia) to enhance mutual cooperation between both parties in the fields of fleet operational management, drivers management & training, exchange of expertise and creating new opportunities & potentials in the field of fleet management and taxi processes.
RTA signs MoU with Paris Transport Authority
H.E. Al Tayer accompanied H.E. Pierre Mongin and the accompanying delegation in a tour on Dubai Metro starting from Khalid bin Al Waleed Station to Al Rashidiya Station during which he briefed the visitor on the Dubai Metro and its vital role in the daily travel of residents and visitors.
Metro most likely to trigger mass transport target realisation
The target to have 30 per cent of Dubai population using public transport by 2020 is on course, largely because of the results shown by the Metro ridership. “Our strategy is to have 30 per cent of the population hitting public transport of which the Metro set to take a lion’s share of 17 per cent with the rest taking a 13 per cent share,” contended the chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Mattar Al Tayer.
RTA posts Railway, infrastructure Regulations online
The CEO of Rail Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) Adnan Al Hamadi stated that all rules and details pertinent to the railway regulation in the Emirate of Dubai along with the Regulations of Railway Procedures enforced for the protection of the infrastructure within the railway right of way have been posted on RTA’s website in both Arabic and English languages such that the public can have easy access to them, save much of their time & effort.
RTA Visits Social Welfare Home in Sharjah
A delegation from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) visited the Social Welfare Home for Boys and Girls in Sharjah in the context of the community-oriented initiatives undertaken by the RTA, including "We make your wish" initiative which provides access to an important community segment with the aim of identifying and achieving their wishes & aspirations, and accordingly motivate and reward them to continue giving and becoming active members in the community.
Metro aims for 170,000 daily users by Dec
The Dubai Metro is aiming to reach a daily passenger load of 170,000 per day, according to a top RTA Rail official. The Director of Rail Operation, RTA Rail Agency Ramadan Abdullah, said: “Daily users of the metro currently stand at 140,000 passengers per day, i.e. in excess of 4,020,000 passengers per month.
Work on Al Sufouh Tram project gathers pace
