Latest addition to JLT; Goldcrest Executives opens
Dubai Star Giga Establishment limited, a joint venture enterprise between ETA Star Property Developers and Mazyood Giga International FZE, has announced the delivery of units in GoldCrest Executive Tower. Haji Mohammad Rafiq Giga, chairman of Star Giga Establishmen, said, "With a Dubai Metro station nearby and a number of malls within a kilometre radius, GoldCrest Executive will be an investor's delight."
Public grievances must be addressed
With more emphasis being put on the residents of Dubai using public transport, the issue of customer feedback and addressing grievances is extremely important. Moreover, with the volume of passengers increasing, the number of cases is bound to go up as well.
British contractors owed $2 billion in Dubai
British engineering groups and consultants are owed up to $2 billion (£1.25 billion) by government-related companies in Dubai, following the collapse of the Gulf state’s property market and subsequent debt crisis. WS Atkins, which has worked on the $7.6 billion Dubai Metro project and a number of developments with Nakheel, has cut 30 per cent of its Gulf workforce. The company has declined to reveal how much it is owed.

Trane provides advance air systems to all 29 red-line stations
Trane, a business of Ingersoll Rand has provided AHU's and Fan coil units to all the 29 red line stations of the recently launched Dubai Metro.

Avelyn Faris Haddad, who went for a joy ride on Dubai Metro with her family, has been trying in vain for more than a month to contest a fine issued during her journey. Her ordeal started on December 27, when she took her sister, who was visiting from Syria, on the Metro.

Al Tayer Discusses Coop With The British Consul In Dubai

RTA wins 2nd place in GCC e-Government Awards
The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has won the second place award in the GCC e-Government Award 2009 held recently in the Omani capital Muscat, for the category of the best electronically advanced organization (E-Maturity Class) at the GCC level following a fierce competition with several GCC Ministries and organizations. Submissions to the Awards were assessed by an international panel comprising members from several countries worldwide.
